Currently working on:
Finding ways to look toward the future optimistically.
Last updated: December 2025
Right now, I am focused on the way AI will bear the burden of traditional “labor work” in the not too distant future. As a result, human meaning must shift. We must stop looking for meaning through traditional work and job titles, and start finding meaning through human connection, recreation, and wealth building.
Politicians that are focused on protecting “jobs” and "job creation" are being counter productive and are not forward thinking. We need leaders that push society to use their imaginations about the future. Expect that you will lose your job, what do you do next?
Exploring these ideas is my central focus and the guiding force to my current creative output.
Areas of Exploration
- Artificial Intelligence & The Future of Labor
- The role of “work” in people’s lives will undergo a fundamental change as labor becomes cheap.
- Capitalism may be the most viable system for a non-work society, provided equity is distributed to maintain personal agency. Owning equities and participation in capital markets could be a sustainable vehicle for society to benefit from the work of AI.
- Those looking to protect "jobs" and "job creation" are counterproductive to the transformation that society will go through. It only opens the door further for corporations to take advantage of the "workers" that will soon have no purpose. Former workers will not need jobs, they will need equity and a sustainable way to benefit from the work of AI.
- As the world moves on from "work", former workers will find new forms of meaning. This could manifest in the form of recreation, art, and entertainment.
- Systemic Crypto Adoption
- Governments are clearing the way for our financial systems to undergo a major overhaul with crypto. The price of crypto may not be directly impacted initially but in the long run could be a strong opportunity.
- Crypto is cutting settlement times to a small fraction of what they once were. Settlement times are going from days to seconds. This will have a massive positive impact on the velocity of capital. The increased velocity could function like a large stimulus package to the world economy.
- The adoption of stablecoins will allow anyone worldwide to hold and trade the US dollar. The move from traditional banks to crypto wallets will allow the formally "unbanked" to hold currencies that were once hard to acquire. Individuals in countries with volatile currencies may flock to less price-volatile currencies such as the US dollar.
- Personal Health, Growth, Connection, and Expression
- My optimism around tech and the ways that I see the world changing, has a direct impact on my everyday actions. I take my abstract ideas about the future and recenter them in the concrete "fundamentals" of being human. Health, growth, connection, and expression.
- I have become critical of social media as a tool for real social connection. Nowadays, social media has become a tool for marketing and 'self-advertising' instead of real human connection. The self-advertising nature of today's social media has bled into the non-digital world through moral signaling and people not being able to say exactly what they mean for fear of retaliation in the event they say the wrong thing. This has me looking for new ways of connecting and growing a community based around concrete values.
- I use AI a lot, and I believe this has a detrimental effect on my ability to think critically. I am using this website as a tool for maintaining mental resilience so that I do not become reliant on AI to think.
- I am a big believer in outdoor recreation as a way of building community and connecting with nature. I enjoy doing all kinds of outdoor activities and I find it's a good way to have a shared experience with friends. I think video games and other forms of entertainment might have the same social benefits but they may lack the additional benefit of being good for your health.
- I am also place a lot of value into my health. I try to go to bed around 9pm and wake up at 5am to get a full night of sleep while also allowing me enough time to hit the gym before work. I have also recently taken up a yoga practice to build my flexibility and endurance to support my other hobbies such as snowboarding, running and biking.
- Recently I have been really interested in "gut health". This seems like the biggest current health fad but it also seems to have some strong science behind it. I am intrigued by the idea that eating non-processed foods and 20-30 plant-based foods a week could have a massive impact on your overall health both physical and mental.
